Alex and Kathia LASZLO have adapted the concept of syntony to human systems . Syntony Quest is about seeking “to catalyse learning processes that empower individuals and groups to develop the competencies necessary for the co-creation of sustainable , evolutionary futures”
Essentially, they propose:
- transformative learning
- the design of self-directed learning processes
- the acquisition of evolutionary competence
- the conscious creation of sustainability
They base these proposals on the following areas of knowledge :
- evolutionary systems theory
- social systems design methodology
- transformative learning philosophy
They consider that “these approaches lead to the mastery of the knowledge , abilities, attitudes , and values required for co-evolutionary action , and thereby, for the pursuit of sustainable modes of being.
Syntony Quest is an organization (based in San Francisco, e-mail: Syntony.Quest@usa.net) “dedicated to the development of evolutionary competence ” that seeks “to foster the emergence of evolutionary learning communities (Template:Ency entitys) and communities of Template:Ency entitys, i.e. evolutionary learning ecosystems ”
Such ecosystems obviously included human active participation. The Template:Ency entity concept has been mainly develope by A. Laszlo himself (partly during Fuschl Conversations)
