José Antonio Moreiro (PhD. in History from the National University of Distance Education, Spain) is an Emeritous Professor at the Department of Library and Information Science of Carlos III University of Madrid, where he was chair of the Information Engineering Group, conducting research on knowledge organization systems. He has tought courses on Knowledge Organization Systems and Indexing Techniques. He has a strong record of scientific publications and has participated in many national and international research projects. He was a member of 12 publication committees.
