I.A.S. is the Peruvian Systemics Institute. It was founded in the 80's in Lima Peru by Eng. R. RODRIGUEZ ULLOA, who is still its President to date (2004). It has also a branch in the northern Peruvian city of Trujillo.

It publishes a series of pamphlets on “Systems Thinking and Total Quality” (in Spanish) as well as the six-monthly Journal “Sist+mica”, on “the inter- and transdisciplinary management of complexity”. It also co-published Ch. FRANÇOIS's Spanish “Diccionario de Teoria General de Sistemas y Cibern+tica” (1992) and R. RODRIGUEZ DELGADO's “Teoria de Sistemas y Gesti{ó}n de las Organizaciones” (1994).

I.A.S. organizes tutorials and seminars on a variety of subjects, mainly oriented towards the management of complexity in organizations. It also organizes “International Work Conferences”. The 2nd one and most recent took place in Trujillo on “Sustainable development in societies and organizations with limited resources and opportunities” (December 1994), with the presence of Argentine, Chilean, Colombian and Mexican systemists.
