Draft talk:Computation
Dear Julian
It was a pleasure enjoying your participation in the seminar "A Journey through Philosophy. What do you know when you get information?" You have seen well the limitations of algorithmic computation and its implications on knowledge, truth and practical effects.
I have introduced a few formal changes and minor text corrections. The use of the referencing system and the paragraphs styles was wrong and sometimes confusing. In my view there's still too much bold text that should be mostly dedicated to highlight the concepts clarified. I have also added some links to relevant articles within the glossaLAB space.
I hope that through the considerations of the topics held during the lectures, the open discussions, and particularly through your own inquiries, you got to appreciate the importance of embracing a critical stance towards what simply has the appearance of being the case. Pitifully there's a lot of mis- and dis-information around and it is important to keep critical.
I wish you a successful career, and in case you think I may be of any help don't hesitate to contact me. All the best,
