The process of integration of numerous interacting individuals into an emerging organized whole.
Socialization appears as a very general tendency in living systems at every level of complexity, from cells to insect societies and human systems.
It supposes a specific ordering of the interrelations among components and a long permanence in time of the global organization thus obtained (time binding). This implies in turn the need for its self-reproduction and a permanent process of learning.
The socialization process implies deep modifications of the society's components, which must enter in specific and differentiated interactions. In this way, some individual characteristics are considerably reduced, while the interactions introduce specific links by orienting the elements behavior.
