A method of data processing through which information from outside of the system, complex and continuous, is “cut” into informations discrete in time and space (J.C. TABARY, 1989, p.278).
J.C. TABARY writes: “The characteristics of the receivers do organize the ”carving“, not so the peculiarities of outside information” (p.278).
This is a most general consequence of the “all or nothing” principle.
