A procedure that can be regularly applied to solve some kind of problems or to manage some types of issues .
According to T. KOTARBINSKI, “a method always implies a way of acting” (1995, p.26). However “some people define a method as an intended way of acting, or a way of acting of which the agent is conscious” (p.27).
One should say that, as methods seem proper to human beings, their uses are always “intended”. It seems however possible that a method can be applied in a non-conscious, or in a sub-conscious way, as for instance when driving a car.
KOTARBINSKI relates methods - and methodology — to the uses of practical skills (Ibid).
