This is another neologism introduced by G.G. JAROS.

It seems useful, because it “de-anthropologizes” the value-laden concepts of purpose, etc… However, this was not necessarily JAROS intention. He states anyhow: “Any analysis of teleons should start with the identification of the teleos” (1994, p.5) … which of course is relative to the views of the observer.
