In this article on “Business and economic systems”, K. BOULDING considers from an economist's viewpoint the various subsystems within the global human system, each with its own particular disequilibrating feedback process.
It would seem however that the sociosphere depends basically of the resources of the ecosphere and that its internal desequilibria may, in not a few cases turn into a global abuse of the ecosphere, because the global interrelation between both is believed to be a positive-sum game favoring the sociosphere in a unilateral way.
Considering this, no research on the sociosphere can be complete and secure if not connected with the study of the interrelations between sociosphere and its ecosphere environment.
