The disaggregation of a social system.
This process, opposite to sociogenesis, implies the disappearence of interrelations among constitutive elements, each of which, if able to survive individually, becomes independent and autonomous.
Sociolysis however generally entails the destruction of most of the severed elements.
Biological death is in some sense a sociolysis phenomenon. This is also the case of the destruction of an archaic society or an enterprise.
