- “A central guidance system operating within the world system and regulating its functional states” (E. LASZLO, 1974, p.148).
This is a model of a global regulator proposed by E. LASZLO. It reminds of FORRESTER's World Dynamics, which is in a sense, an intent to create a world model, obviously the first step toward LASZLO's Template:Ency entity. However, the controversies aroused by the Club of Rome world models showed that the proposal is not simple.
LASZLO's idea also reminds of LOVELOCK's Gaia concept, wherein the guidance is intrinsic to the ecosphere itself.
