- “The set of the states through which a problem — solver could conceivably pass in seeking the solution to a problem” (M. BODEN, 1990, p.77).
M. BODEN specifies: “In other words, it is the set of conceptual locations that could conceivabley be visited. ”Conceivably“ here means ”according to the rules“. Contrary to popular belief, a creative genre may be based on precisely specifiable rules” (Ibid). M. BODEN gives the example of classical musical composition, based on the rules of harmony and observes that dodecaphonic music is also based on a set of specific rules.
