A more embracing and open training method to teach appropriate knowledge to individuals, “aimed at the right level, sequential and logical and entirely compatible with the objectives and intentions of the individual and the organization” (After I.G. BLOOR, 1987, p.43).
BLOOR states that some years ago “self-pace material was developed to enhance flexibility and choice in the form of specially written texts that included self-assessment. Today's equivalent of this training technique is known as Open Learning which offer the flexibility of self-paced study with the additional support from an internal or external (e.g. a college) trainer” (Ibid).
From a systemic viewpoint, the crux of the matter is the quality of the content of the offered texts, which should be oriented to an integrated vision of what is to be learned, in order to broaden the understanding of the user.
