J. BRIGGS and F. D. PEAT characterize a special type of predictability for quasi-periodic systems. For such systems it is not possible to make precise predictions.
However, the system's behavior will always evolve within a specific toric attractor, which means that it will not evolve in a totally random way in the phases space (1991, p.41, French translation).
This is characteristic of numerous physical systems, but is also probably typical of some sociosystems, as for example the markets, which offer examples of quasi-periodic cycles shrouded in stochastic irregularities.
