The effect of enhanced collective performance on the performance of individual members of the group.

According to W.T. DICKEY and J.R. FLYNN (2001, p. 45-7) in human groups the betterment of the general performance of some kind produces an environment effect through feedback on the participant individuals. Those in turn, by enhancing their personal performance because they are thus stimulated, tend to positively affect the general performance of the group .

For ex. a society where the level of knowledge is increasing would incite the individuals to increase their personal level in order to avoid losing their value in relation with the global activity of the group.

Moreover this effect is becoming reiterative and accumulative and leads in turn to an increase of the general level of the group.
