G. MINATI writes: 'The notion of Dynamic Usage of Systems is related to the situations in which the system to be studied is so complex that it is not possible, in principle (because of its structural, unpredictable dynamics) fully describe it through a single model, nor through a sequence of models. each of which is a refinement of the previous one. In case of so complex systems (e.g. biological, social, cognitive systems) this approach makes reference to the ability to select, among the available ones, a number of different models of a given system, in order to simultaneously use them in a systemic way, i.e. the investigator, while being aware of the intrinsic limitations of each one of the models of the same system, makes, not withstanding, use of their results in a “crossed way”, taking into account even the mistakes and not only avoiding them. The strategy is not to find the “right model, but to use the available ones (available knowledge) in an effective way”(2001a , 2002b$^{}$)
It is possibly more a matter of comparing relative inconsistencies than to speak of “mistakes”. Models are constructed in some specific way and depend on viewpoints. They can be useful in a complementary way, even if not perfectly “correct”
