J. SENDZIMIR and H.T. ODUM observe that:
- “General systems analogs of short term and long term memory are found within ecological succession, evolution , internet, and the development of human culture . Estimates of emergy and transformity are used to evaluate the resource basis for information and its maintenance ”(1998, p. 154)
They add that these values can be “used to consider the limits to information in our civilization and suggest policies consistent for global sharing”(Ibid.)
