The set of all the states which can be visited by an ergodic system (after G. PASK — 1961, p.123).

The ergodic set is called regular if “…each of the possible transitions can take place at any instant” (Ibid). This is not always the case, as some systems can be ergodic and, at the same time, subtly cyclic in the long term (Ibid).
