A group of systems researchers from China (JIFA GU and ZHICHANG ZHU), Japan (YOSHITERU NAKAMORI) and the UK (M. JACKSON and other Hull University scholars) initiated this cross-cultural learning and integration systems project in 1993-94.

From 1995 to 2001, five project conferences and workshops have been held in China, Japan and the UK., and cross-visits organized.

A detailed report about respective approaches, methodologies and appliction areas and specific projects has been published in “Systems Research and Behavioral Science”, vol. 19 (1), 2002
