glossaLAB:Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using glossaLAB (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”) and by our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
glossaLAB is an open, collaborative scholarly platform intended for conceptual co-creation, interdisciplinary contributions, and knowledge sharing.
Registered users (“Contributors”) may create an account, make edits, and contribute content.
All contributions are public and permanently recorded in version history.
3. User Accounts
- To contribute, you must register and provide a valid email address, username, and password.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
- You agree not to share your account with others.
- Optionally, you may provide additional profile details (e.g., name, institutional affiliation), which veracity and correctness is your own responsibility. Your username will be publicly associated with your contributions.
4. Contributions
- All content you post, edit, or upload becomes part of the public record under your username.
- You grant glossaLAB and its users a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display your contributions.
- You must not upload proprietary or copyrighted material unless you own the rights or the material is available under an open license (e.g., CC BY).
- You must not post personal data about others without consent, nor special category data (e.g., health, religion, political views) unless lawful and authorized.
5. Public Nature of Contributions
Your contributions are immediately and permanently public — there is no expectation of privacy in them.
Your username will be permanently associated with your content in histories and attributions.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any law or the rights of others
- Harass, defame, or threaten others
- Upload viruses, malware, or malicious code
- Overload, disrupt, or damage the Platform
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
7. Termination
glossaLAB may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
Upon termination, your public contributions remain part of the historical record, but your profile and non-public data may be deleted or anonymized.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
- glossaLAB is not responsible for user-submitted content.
- The maximum liability of glossaLAB for any claim is limited to direct damages; indirect, incidental, or consequential damages are excluded.
- glossaLAB does not guarantee uninterrupted operation or error-free performance.
9. Modifications to the Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time.
Significant changes will be communicated to registered users via email or notice on the Site before taking effect.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain (or specify jurisdiction).
Any dispute shall be submitted to the courts of León, Spain.
