The creation of a third dimension by co-creative interaction of the opposites.

This concept has been introduced by L. CARLSON-SABELLI and H. SABELLI, principally in psychotherapeutics.

They state: “Seeking the trifurcation of opposites serves to understand patterns that are otherwise obscured by the tendency to think in pairs of opposites” (1994, p.681).

Trifurcation is the dynamic correspondent of triadicity.
