“A state-transition system is defined in terms of a set of overall states based upon a particular mask and a specification of conditions for transitions between these states” (G. KLIR, 1988, p.151).

It is thus a collection of data, not yet conceptually organized, except as a result of the characteristics of the selected observation device, and, obviously, of the purpose which oriented this selection.

Accordingly, a systemic model cannot be constructed without the introduction of some supplementary conjectures about the global signification of the data.
