- “The creation of models, isomorphic to the ”Syst+me G+n+ral“ (J.L.LE MOIGNE, 1977, p.54).
This neologism was introduced by LE MOIGNE to refer to the uses of his “Syst+me G+n+ral” model.
According to him we should try to “escape from the semantic contradiction” in the current expression “Systems Analysis” (1977, p. 43).
LE MOIGNE clearly perceives that the concrete systems or objects are never isomorphic with their models (nor with each other), but only homomorphic, up to a point.
Only the models can be isomorphic, as the modelizer do construct them according to his intentions, a fact which LE MOIGNE acknowledges as follows:“… every object, every aspect of any object, in our opinion, is not evident, but merely pertinent in relation to the intention that we lend to it” (p. 55).
He also quotes G. PASK: “Any pattern of activities within a net, if coherent by some observer, is a system” (1960, p. 233).
