A view of management based on the idea that the business organization is similar to a living social system (Adapted from F. CAPRA, 1997, p. 76)
This model was evolved by H. ULRICH at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland (1984), where this work is still forwarded now by Prof. M. SCHWANINGER (1998, 2001) and his colleagues
It is to be compared with MILLER's Living Systems taxonomy , specially at the complexity level of the Group , the Organization and the Community .
This concept includes “many ideas from biology, cognitive science, ecology , and evolutionary theory” . CAPRA notes that “these developments gave rise to the new discipline of ”systemic management “(Ibid, p. 76)
