According to R.W. FULLER and P. PUTNAM any learning process should be considered “… as a reduction in the randomness of sequences of behavioral elements” (1967, p.104)
This effect is obtained through a random search process which tends to the formation of more or less local relative dominances, i.e. by the establishment of stabilized patterns.
While these authors are mainly concerned with the brain, this model seems applicable to any network in its organization process.
