Nalimov relates nomogenesis to Bayesian probabilities : “The Bayesian syllogism, in accordance with Nomogenesis, ignores the creative role of natural selection . However, what we keep in mind is not complete rejection of natural selection as a factor of evolution , but the abandonment of the concept of evolution as a random search ”(Ibid)
It seems obvious that evolution, i.e. any kind of evolution, must necessarily be a compromise between processes and structures that self-constructed as results of constraints in the past (but still in force) and the possibility or need for innovation.
It would be interesting to compare these views with the concept of deterministic chaos and self organization .
