A node “… with two in-branches and one out-branch” (H. PAYNTER, 1968, p.76).

The concept of triadic node was introduced by C. S PEIRCE.

H. PAYNTER emphasizes: “At the level of binary logic, PEIRCE himself anticipated SCHEFFER in the discovery of the alternate denial and joint denial operators (the modern NOR and Template:Ency entity)… A universal triad must be both associative/dissociative and symmetric with respect to in-branches” (p.77).
