A systemic control device which recycles materials and rewards and stimulates parts in proportion to their effectiveness (adapted from H. ODUM, 1971, p.150).

ODUM states: “Either too much or too little growth by one component puts the loop out of harmonious flow” (Ibid).

Any complex system — biological, ecological, economic or political — must be and remain balanced.

Unfortunately, in some cases they are not and man aggravates many systemic problems by unwittingly creating not sustainable disbalances, i.e. breaking loop circuits.
