The appearance and eventual multiplication of original types in secluded environments .
Such types can be vegetal or animal species, or specific and original cultural traits in isolated human groups .
Isolation favors differenciation of any original stock through to “creative” innovation in some specific niche in a biotope , or more generally, environment .
It may also lead to co-evolution, when unfettered or suppressed by aliencompetition, for instance by introduced species or characters. End of isolation usually leads to the quick alteration or even destruction of biological or cultural diversity .
