The correspondance of elements or subsystems within different systems.
This concept is translated from mathematics to systemics. It can be used to track possible functional or structural partial isomorphies, but this should be done carefully, because homologies can be more apparent than real.
Their use was however proposed by L.von BERTALANFFY.
