B. WALLISER emphasizes the temporal aspect of hierarchies in evolving situations: “…the ”temporally embedded hierarchies“ offer short, medium and long term phenomena, defined by corresponding different velocities of variations: the slow variable ”frames“ the quick ones and these become ”integrated“ into the slow one” (1991, p. 75).
