A behavioral response elicited mainly by the reaction of the limbic level of the brain when the individual is challenged by some external agression.

The French biologist H. LABORIT developed a comprehensive study of the subject, under the generic term “Agressology”, whose roots are biological and physiological (1970, 1976).
