Error-free reproduction is possibly the main problem for complex systems, in which not only structures and functions must be maintained, but altogether, in H. ODUM's words: “There is the additional work of maintaining an error-free plan or generating an improved plan by combining extra reproduction-generating choice and selection…” (1971, p.142).
