In English (and in Spanish) this word corresponds generally to a well defined object or organization , clearly distinguished from any other. Its meaning is thus close to that of system.

In French and German (Dasein) it has a more abstract and even ontological meaning, closely related to existence in itself.

Of course, any pinpointing of an “entity”is made by an observer within specific conditions and intentionality
