As noted by G. BATESON, context is repeatable, even if not entirely repeatable, as it is evolving.
BATESON states: “Without the assumption of repeatible context (and the hypothesis that for the organisms which we study the sequence of experience is really somehow punctuated in this manner), it would follow that all learning would be of one type: namely, all would be zero learning” (1973, p.259).
In other words, no adaptation and no evolution would be possible, and possibly no coherent systems of any kind. Repeatability is a very general feature of the physical, the biological, the psychological, the mental and the social spheres.
