The establishment of consistency among explanations of different phenomena
E. WILSON writes: “The explanations of different phenomena most likely to survive are those that can be connected and proved consistent with one another” (1998, p.6)
This is a social aspect of scientific knowledge , as the consistency must be established and recognized within the frame of accepted criteria of relevance and adequacy in some organized body of knowledge .
