“The relation of two parts without the mediation of a third part. Non-connexity is the absence of this relation” (J. FEIBLEMAN & J.W. FRIEND, 1969, p.32).

These authors give the following example: “… the skin and seeds of an apple are non-connected. (On the contrary) three grains of sand (directly in contact) are connected (Ibid).

Connexity supposes thus the contact, but not necessarily any interaction.
