W. S. Mc CULLOCH stated: “ In a communication code, the price of a simple Bit, or answer to a yes or no question, remains constant, even when we halve the area of ignorance by every question, as we can in playing Twenty Questions. In making measurements, the price varies: the range of uncertainty diminishes inversely as the square root of the number of samples we average” (1974, p.11).
