Concept:Theory
Theory is here undestood in the broad sense of a coherent body of knowledge about a given object domain. If they are formalise we speak of 'axiomatic theories', but we often deal with non-formalised theories.
In the interdisciplinary undertaking to which glossaLAB is committed, theories of both types constitute prominent objects of interdisciplinary clarification, though interpretation conflicts are more likely to appear in non-axiomatic theories.
Appealing to the ethimological sense (derived from the Greek θεωρειν) as looking at/observing an object field, it is a paramount goal of 50interdisciplinary understanding getting to know how this objecte field is seen from the different angles of the summoned knowledge domains.
