Born in Hong Kong in 1968, Nicholas Sinn finished his primary and secondary education in the former British colony.

In 1988, he embarked to America to join his parents, who had emigrated to the U.S. in the 70's. He took up residence in the the State of Connecticut, and attended Central Connecticut University from 1988 to 1995. During his time at the university, he changed his major a few times, and ended up studying European Studies as a major and German as a minor.

In 1995, he went to Heidelberg, Germany, as an exchange student. After his exchange year, he stayed on and graduated with a Master Degree in Teach of German as a Foreign Language.

After graduation, he worked in Frankfurt am Main, Germany as a teacher of English from 2002 to 2011. In 2011. he moved to Munich, Germany, and have worked as a lecturer of English at Munich University of Applied Sciences ever since.

Other than teaching English langugae classes, Nicholas Sinn also offered classes taught in English, including classes on America, Hong Kong and China, and Virtual Exchange classes that involve collaboration with teaching professionals from other insitutions in other countries.

In his free time, he enjoys a variety of activities. He is passionate about traveling and discovering different places, their people and culture. He loves to eat and explore different cuisines of the world. He also enjoys reading, drawing, Irish dancing, playing the didgeridoo, and listening to music.
