Talk:Misperception in Communication

From glossaLAB

Dear Vincent,

You have dealt with a topic that is linked to several concepts we have dealt with in the seminar, and concerns an issue of high concern nowadays. It would have been nice to connect it to the philosophical systems we have outlined. As I tried to explain after your presentation some clarification was necessary to make in order to distinguish misperception in communication from the usual sense of plain perception. I think I have managed to do it at the beginning. The structure was also confusing and I have tried to fix it. I have also change the references from François' enciclopedia to highlight his authorship as well as the original source, as I told you after your presentation. On the other hand, I have added links to the glossaLAB pages even though they are still not available.

The statement "The moment new information is perceived" was problematic since information cannot directly be associated to perception. Because perception is the way we apprehend reality through the senses and also mentally, it cannot be information what is perceived, but the reality we are trying to perceive. The information is what is used in the communication process to enable the reception of the communication act being performed. I have changed the expression.

I have also introduce many other changes to circumvent grammatical errors and readability issues. I hope I have not violated too much your original intentions It is still worth improving it further in this sense. For that reason, I have added one comments in the heading box inviting to improve the text.

I hope you have enjoyed the journey. Most cordial regards,
