- “Transfer of information from one code to another”.
Generally, when some information enters into a system, it is quickly transcoded. For example, part of the electromagmetic waves are perceived as light by means of a complex conversion through our visual subsystem. This process may be indirect, for example when the electromagnetic waves are first converted into images through a television tube.
Thus, “information must not be confused with its support” (I. BLAUBERG et al., 1977, p.119).
