GROSSMANN and WATT observe that, as specific “amounts of energy and material resources” are needed to solve problems in human and ecological systems, the time spans available for reactions can be very restricted. This is in fact the notorious “too few, too late” potential situation and implies very great risks in our societies mostly unaware of their own problems, or at least of the seriousness of the same, generally because of a partialized non-systemic perception.
