Object type General information

An original incipient replicative cycle that appears during the autogenetic process of a system.

According to V. CSANYI who introduces the concept, supercycles appear if there is at least one cycle of component-producing processes, duly activated by energy inputs when the autogenetic process sets in, eventually generating a full-blown autopoietic system.

In time, different replicative supercycles become more stable and originate cyclically interrelated subsystems. At that stage, they can be assimilated to M. EIGEN's hypercycles.
